Awareness Statement from Banks County Sheriff's Office and Banks County Schools: Banks County, GA – September 20, 2024

 

Today, Banks County Middle and Banks County High School will conduct essential lockdown drills to ensure the safety and preparedness of our students and staff. This exercise will be supported by the Banks County Sheriff’s Office, Banks County EMS, and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA).

In line with Georgia state requirements, these mandatory drills must be completed by October 1, 2024. They are an essential part of our strategy to enhance our ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.

By collaborating with the Banks County Sheriff’s Office, Banks County EMS, Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA). and Banks County Schools, we aim to strengthen our safety protocols and provide the students with a secure learning environment.
