Banks County High School Literary Team Earns Runner-Up Finish in Region 8-A Division I

The Banks County High School Literary Team earned runner-up honors at the Region 8-A Division I Literary Competition, finishing second overall against regional competition. Individual Results include:
Harper Steele — 1st Place, Comedic Interpretation

Alana Wilkins — 1st Place, Girls Musical Solo
Cris Gonzalez — 1st Place, Argumentative Essay

Jackie McCain — 1st Place, Personal Essay
Cindy Flores — 2nd Place, Dramatic Interpretation
Bianca Stiles — 4th Place, Literary Analysis Essay

Principal's Message

Dear Banks County Families and Students,
 
Welcome back, Leopards!
 
We are extremely excited to begin this school year with you. Our goal at  Banks County High School is to value each student as an individual. I strongly believe that establishing relationships with our students is imperative to reach that goal.
 
Our teachers and staff work diligently to meet the needs of all students who enter our building. We believe that fostering relationships helps our students reach their goals and gives them the skills to achieve them.
 
We believe in our community of learners, in which each person has unique gifts, talents, and abilities. BCHS provides strong academic programs, rigorous elective options, award-winning fine arts, and multiple state championships in athletics and clubs, and CTAE programs help to carry out that mission.
 
We have a 1:1 technology initiative that encourages teaching strategies to integrate multiple learning styles and individual excellence.
 
We will continue that excellence this year and are committed to helping our students stay safe while helping them reach their goals.
