Raegan Gilbert National Champion Beef Production Proficiency

Banks County High School student Raegan Gilbert has been named the National Winner in Beef Production Proficiency in her area.

Banks County Board of Education Honors Students for Academic Excellence in i-Ready, AR, and IXL Programs

During its October meeting, the Banks County Board of Education recognized students for their outstanding performance and progress in the i-Ready, Accelerated Reader (AR), and IXL programs. Honorees included Banks County Primary, Elementary, Middle, and High School students who excelled in i-Ready lessons, AR points, and IXL progress.

BCHS Classified Employee of the Year and Teacher of the Year 2024-2025

Banks County High School has named Mrs. Kelly Patterson Classified Employee of the Year and Mrs. Brittany Brown Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025.

Principal's Message

Dear Banks County Families and Students,

Welcome back, Leopards!

We are extremely excited to begin this school year with you. Our goal at Banks County High School is to value each student as an individual. I strongly believe that establishing relationships with our students is imperative to reach that goal.

Our teachers and staff work diligently to meet the needs of all students who enter our building. We believe that fostering relationships helps our students reach their goals and gives them the skills to achieve them.

We believe in our community of learners, in which each person has unique gifts, talents, and abilities. BCHS provides strong academic programs, rigorous elective options, award-winning fine arts, and multiple state championships in athletics and clubs, and CTAE programs help to carry out that mission.

We have a 1:1 technology initiative that encourages teaching strategies to integrate multiple learning styles and individual excellence.

We will continue that excellence this year and are committed to helping our students stay safe while helping them reach their goals.
