The Banks County School System announces Teachers of the Year and Classified Employees of the Year for each school, recognizing their exceptional dedication to education and the students they serve. The recipients were selected by ballot from their colleagues at each school.

Classified Employee of the Year: Jenna Lewis
Banks County Elementary School:
Teacher of the Year: McKenna Lord
Classified Employee of the Year: Calli Shirley
Banks County Middle School:
Teacher of the Year: Angie Austin
Classified Employee of the Year: Ricky Williamson
Banks County High School:
Teacher of the Year: Brittany Brown
Classified Employee of the Year: Kelly Patterson
These honorees will be recognized with their families and administration on November 21st at the Banks County Board of Education. This special event, sponsored by Jackson EMC and Georgia Power, will also serve as the occasion to announce the District Teacher of the Year. The district winner will represent Banks County at the state level and participate in the Georgia Teacher of the Year competition.
