Mr. Sanders applied for the grant with a vision to enhance hands-on, project-based learning experiences for his students. The grant will provide supplies and resources that will enrich classroom activities, helping students develop problem-solving skills and real-world applications of geometric concepts.
The TangerKids Grants program aligns with Tanger’s mission to be good corporate citizens by investing in the next generation. As part of this initiative, the program provides nearly $200,000 in total funding for special projects, programs, and equipment to schools in communities served by Tanger outlets nationwide. These grants empower educational leaders with the tools and resources to inspire students and open doors to new learning opportunities.
Upon receiving the grant notification, Sanders commented, “When the TangerKids Grant program application became available, I was able to apply for some needed materials to make our geometry classes more engaging. Through Tanger’s generosity and with this grant, we will be able to add many more materials and supplies to make Geometry more hands-on and project-based so students are learning how geometry is applied in the real world!"
“We are grateful for Tanger’s commitment to education and for selecting Banks County High School as a recipient of this year’s TangerKids Grant,” said Will Foster, Banks County High School Principal. “This funding will have a meaningful impact on Mr. Sanders’ Geometry class, enhancing the learning experience and supporting our students’ success.”
