in Banks County teaching isn't just a job it's a chance to be a part of something bigger it's about community Connection and changing lives I get hired in Banks County 14 years ago and when I came to my interview 1 thing that I really loved the banks about Banks County was how it just felt like a family and you could just tell how much everyone cares about the kids their education their mental well being and I knew that there was something special here that I had to be a part of I've been teaching in Banks County for 22 years and the reason that I'm here is the people that I work with I work with a great community of teachers that support me encourage me I work with a great uh Administration and uh we're just like a family here I chose to work at Banks County um because I uh I grew up here um this place uh it means a lot to me it has a real uh family feel in the community I uh I wanted to give back to uh the community that meant so much to me and I wanted to uh come back here and be a part of that for uh for somebody else now I'll tell you what it is it's the family feel that we have here and the way that we are like a big family in the community is very supportive and uh we're just all we like each other uh we have fun working together and it's just a great place to work and to live it's a good place to be it is the best place to be oh here at Banks County High School we're we're committed to uh create an environment where teachers can Thrive because we truly believe if the teacher is thriving then the student will Thrive as well when I started teaching there was 1 place I wanted to be and that was here at Banks County because this is a community that the raised me that shaped me in the person I've become today and a lot of that has to do with the teachers that I encountered over my years here so as a teacher now I want to do that same thing for my students and that's just to have an impact on their lives and set them up for success and then Banks County you can do that uh basically school system has a has had a big impact on my life just as a whole just because of the the small town community um I feel like I know everybody I love everybody and everybody feels the same about me um I just feel it this awesome to to be able to have something like that and uh know that it's more than just a school system it's more like a family anyways mainly because of the supporting teachers and coaches that helped me to become my best we are inviting passionate Educators to come and join us for our upcoming teacher and pear professional recruitment fair this March we are so excited to have you come and meet our team explore our schools and see what makes Banks County unique if you're passionate about making an impact on the lives of students we invite you to come be a part of our story thank you
