Banks County High School’s 10th-grade students visited the Gainesville Campus of the University of North Georgia during the month of October.

Students toured the campus and met representatives from the University of North Georgia.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), administered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), provides eligible low-income households with a $30 monthly subsidy for broadband service. School districts may request any combination of the below options provided by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) and conducted by CTC Technology & Energy (CTC) to promote ACP enrollment for students and their families.

Banks County Schools had a celebration parade to honor Banks County High School's FFA teams as they headed to Indiana to compete in Nationals. Banks County EMS, Fire Department, and the Banks County Sheriff's office led the parade.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp recognized the 2021 Georgia National Fair Livestock Champions at the Georgia National Fair Opening Ceremonies. Banks County High School student Paycee Jackson was one of the recipients.

Bring in jars of peanut butter October 3rd-31st. Every jar will help families in need. The winning school will be presented with a trophy from Banks County Rotary. The class with the most jars of peanut butter at each school will earn a pizza party, and the teacher will win $100!

Congratulations to the Banks County High School Cross Country Team! The team dominated at The Mountain Invite in Helen, Georgia, this past Thursday. Pepper Davis led the boys team with a PR of 16:56, followed by Troy Loggins, running a PR of 18:13. Pepper came in 8th out of 210 athletes. The girls team was led by Maggie Irvin and Camdyn Poole, both running a 23:53. Makayla Long followed closely after running a PR of 24:25. We are so proud of these athletes!!
