Banks County Elementary and Middle Schools honored local veterans with student performances, accompanied by the Banks County Middle and High School bands. BCMS Teacher, SGT Toni Mullins, spoke about her journey in the Army.

Banks County Schools Receive Three State Awards for Literacy and Math

Banks County was named among the Georgia Department of Education’s 2024–2025 Literacy Leader and Math Leader honorees, with Banks County High School earning Literacy Leader for High School Growth and Math Leader for High School Growth, and Banks County Middle School recognized as a Math Leader for Outstanding Achievement. These awards—based on Georgia Milestones reading (Lexile-based status) and math proficiency—reflect a system-wide effort, and our district vision that “Expectations Influence Success.”

THE BANKS COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL CHARTER SYSTEM GOVERNANCE COUNCIL MEETING HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM NOVEMBER 11, 2025 6:00 P.M. TO NOVEMBER 13, 2025 AT 4:00 P.M.

THE MEETING WILL BE HELD AT THE BANKS COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION FOR SYSTEM-WIDE TRAINING.

Principal's Message

Dear Banks County Families and Students,
 
Welcome back, Leopards!
 
We are extremely excited to begin this school year with you. Our goal at  Banks County High School is to value each student as an individual. I strongly believe that establishing relationships with our students is imperative to reach that goal.
 
Our teachers and staff work diligently to meet the needs of all students who enter our building. We believe that fostering relationships helps our students reach their goals and gives them the skills to achieve them.
 
We believe in our community of learners, in which each person has unique gifts, talents, and abilities. BCHS provides strong academic programs, rigorous elective options, award-winning fine arts, and multiple state championships in athletics and clubs, and CTAE programs help to carry out that mission.
 
We have a 1:1 technology initiative that encourages teaching strategies to integrate multiple learning styles and individual excellence.
 
We will continue that excellence this year and are committed to helping our students stay safe while helping them reach their goals.
