Congratulations to Harly Ledford for being in the Top 4 in the Agriculture Education contest! She will compete for the state title in April!

On April 27th and 28th, Banks County High School will recognize all seniors who have committed to one of the following:

-A career in the workforce or business
-Military
-College (four-year or technical)

Students will be recognized at the Banks County Board of Education on April 27th or 28th from 12:00-2:15. Students will be assigned a designated date and time. All parents and guardians are invited to attend the event.

If you are a senior or a parent of a senior who has committed to one of the above categories, please complete the form below so we can ensure a time/date will be scheduled for each recognition. Please complete the form by April 20th.

We will send out more information closer to the event.

Banks County High School will host Volleyball Tryouts from May 2nd through May 4th from 3:30-5:00 pm. Individuals trying out must have a current physical on file and proof of insurance. Tryouts will be held at Leopard 2.0.

The BCHS Auxiliary and Leopardette tryouts will be held March 27th-31st from 3:30-5:00 pm in the BCHS Gym. Any upcoming 9th-12th grader can try out but must have a physical on file for tryouts.

The Auxiliary consists of the Color Guard and Danceline, who perform with the BCHS Band during halftime at the football games. The Leopardettes are the competition dance team that performs at our home basketball games.

Pi Day is the annual celebration of the constant π (pi) and is observed on March 14 (the 3rd month) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of π.

Students in Mrs. Brittany Brown's classes celebrated with activities and food to celebrate the event.

Students in Mr. Goodwin's and Coach Bowen’s Forensic Course learned how fingerprints play a role in criminology and solving crimes. This is the first year Banks County High School has offered the course, and it has quickly become a student favorite.

BCHS Culinary hosted its annual cupcake contest this week and produced some tasty treats! Entries included Oreo, Campfire, Chocolate Orange, Caramel Pretzel, Chocolate Strawberry, Keylime, and Double Chocolate. Cupcakes were judged on appearance, icing, crumb moisture, and taste/flavor.

BCHS Healthcare Science is hosting a blood drive on March 21st from 8 am-1:30 pm in the 9th-grade activity room at BCHS! All donors must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid photo ID with them at the time of donation. Donors age 16 must have parental consent to donate.
