Registration for the 2023-24 school year has begun for our upcoming 9th-12th grade students. Academic recommendations have been made, and students will choose electives this week during Homeroom/Advisement. Registration paperwork will be sent home on March 3 and due back by March 17. The BCHS Program of Study for the 2023-24 school year is attached. Please view course descriptions and other pertinent academic and graduation information in this document.

Banks County High School students received certification in OSHA 10, Lean Sigma White Belt, CPR, and AED training. The students participate in the yearlong Georgia High School High Tech initiative program.

For upcoming 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, we encourage you to attend Banks County High School Parent Preview night on February 13th at 6:00 pm in the BCHS Auditorium.

This month, Banks County High School celebrates CTAE month.

During February,  schools across Georgia celebrate career, technical, and agricultural education (CTAE). CTAE Month is a public awareness campaign designed to recognize the value, achievements, and accomplishments of CTAE programs across the country.

CTAE directly prepares students for high-wage, high-demand professions by educating them about and for careers. The programs cover various fields, including health care, audio & visual technology, marketing, finance, and many more.

Banks County High School offers a Work Based Learning Program that prepares high school students for the world of work through the combination of academic and workplace learning. Students must be at least 15 years of age, enrolled in the WBL program, have transportation, be on track for graduation, have a good attendance record, and completed the WBL application process.

Banks County High School senior Matthew Anderson won the Region 2 EMC/FFA Agricultural Education Career Development Event, a wiring competition, and will advance to the state competition.

In honor of Valentine's Day, a day meant for the celebration of love, the BCHS Culture Team is raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which treats children with cancer at no cost to their families. To support our cause, we invite you to donate $1.00 to purchase a "Heart-o-Gram" during your lunch period the week of February 6th - 10th. The " Heart-o-Grams " will be delivered on Valentine's Day (2/14) to a student you choose and will also be personalized with an appropriate message and a sweet treat.
